Arguably this is the most important aspect of looking after your health.
People have managed to beat all types of life challenge with the support of their thoughts. I believe your thoughts are the most powerful tool you carry
Negative or positive?
You DO have a choice
Too many negative thoughts will eventually lead to a breakdown of some sort. A time when you choose to press life’s ‘reset button’
If you choose to continually think negative thoughts, ultimately they have the power to destroy you completely
In the mean time, every negative thought will simply make your life harder, as your subconscious works toward proving you right!
Positive thoughts that you don’t believe, are not much better.
So how do I find positive thoughts, when I am useless at something?
There are many different ways to say the same thing
Here’s an example:
‘I didn’t succeed, therefore I am a failure’
vs
‘I gave it my best shot, I just couldn’t have done any better, therefore I am a success’
And another:
‘I can’t get it right’, or worse still: ‘I’m useless’
vs
‘I’m learning’
Very simple, but keep an eye on the language you use, particularly to yourself
Whatever you say, your subconscious will do its best to prove you right!!!
Be careful if using affirmations, such as ‘I am the Greatest!!’
If you are Muhammad Ali, you believe it, so it is a powerful thought
Whereas the average person is likely to think to themselves ‘who are you kidding?’ Which has the opposite effect
