We all have heard that we should be careful about what we feed our bodies.
We also have a fair idea what that means. Food is the fuel for the body, and feeding the body is feeding the brain, a new friend of mine has been reminding me this week
I know she is right. Many of us know she is right.
When I eat my usual diet of ‘junk food’ I feel lethargic and don’t always think clearly.
Another friend of mine lives on a pure ‘raw food’ diet. It sounds extreme, but after staying with her a couple of days and joining in, I certainly wouldn’t say anything against it. A lot more taste and flavour than what I am used to, and much healthier too!
I feel a lot better when I eat decent fresh food.
So what’s the problem?
Many people have tried to change my diet, and many people have failed. I have never had any interest in food. I have always seen eating as a chore – a necessary evil.
I am full of the usual excuses such as ‘I haven’t got time to learn’.
The truth is, I just can’t find the motivation.
I want and need to find the motivation before I ‘learn the hard way’.
I good friend of mine (a smoker) learnt the hard way about what he was feeding his body when he started to cough up tar and blood. He has never smoked since, and luckily continues to feel better each day.
Do you have the answer to this lesson? How can people reprogram themselves to eat healthily?
