Dreams

“Follow your dreams, for as you dream, so you shall become”

When we are young, we believe anything is possible.  As we get older we get more jaded and cynical.  We slowly accept our dreams will never come true….But, we can still dream, can’t we?

So why is it that looking around we see a handful of people who appear to achieve their every dream?  Everything they want in life, they get

Well, they are just lucky, aren’t they?

Are they?  What is luck anyway?

The best description I have seen about luck is that it is the meeting of preparation and opportunity

What this description is saying is, if you have done the ground work, when an opportunity comes by, you can take it!

So how does this help your dreams to come true?

Well first, in the words of a well known song:

“If you don’t have a dream, how you gonna have a dream come true?”

You must reconnect with you dream, your greatest, most inspiring one.  Don’t think about ‘how’ the dream could be possible, just connect to the positive feelings of the dream

Hold this thought in view by any and every means possible.  This could include, writing it down, telling people about is, collecting pictures that inspire your thinking about the dream, putting up relevant screen saver(s) on your computer, or meditating on it each day

What if you are not in a ‘good space’, and you can’t accept the possibilities?

Don’t worry!  If you find this impossible to accept, just find a small aspect of your dream, or a dream that you used to have that looks more achievable.  It doesn’t matter how small this part of your dream is, as long as you are open to the possibility of it coming true

As above, hold this in your view by any and every means possible

As you achieve this dream or just accept you are closing in on it, then you can start opening up your dreams, until you believe anything is possible!

Now, the key part

Take action!  Do something!

But, I don’t know where to start!

Don’t worry, just do something.  As long as you have the goal in mind, you will instinctively know whether you are going in the right direction or not

Use your internal navigation system

The best analogy I have heard is that as long as you know roughly where the dream lies and you take action, your journey will unfold like you were being led by a vehicle navgation system

As long as you are moving, you can get feedback that will tell you whether you are headed in the right direction.  You can even head off in completely the wrong direction, and you will just know you have to make a U-turn!

What if you get knocked back, or knocked off course?

Go back to your notes, your friends, your pictures, screensavers or meditation.  Whatever you need to reconnect with your dream

And don’t give up.  Get back on course as soon as you can

So that’s it. Simple.

You must have a dream, or at least be open to finding your dream

Then…

TAKE ACTION!!

And NEVER GIVE UP!!!

I will say that again, because for most people, this it the missing part that prevents people from reaching their dreams

You must  NEVER GIVE UP!!!

If you need a ‘cheer leader’, get in touch

I believe in your dreams, even if you don’t know what they are yet!

That said, I will not wish you luck.  I will wish you fortitude – The strength to keep going when the going gets tough!!
